My first blog in the name of 70th independence

My first blog in the name of 70th independence

Even after 70 years of independence, big corrupt individuals roam freely both within the country and abroad, enjoying ill-gotten wealth, who should have been jailed by now. All the black money should have been confiscated, the country's debt eliminated, and poverty and the BPL (Below Poverty Line) stigma eradicated to accelerate real development. Without this, neither the country's debt nor poverty and hunger will be resolved because the misuse of black money continues to puncture the wheels of the nation's progress repeatedly. This way, the country will never catch up with the pace of development, nor will it ever regain its status as the "Golden Bird" under the discriminatory governance of Congress and BJP.

The kind of tribal mindset that the government has in this agrarian country ensures that wealthy individuals receive massive tax waivers and exemptions equivalent to the budget of a small state, without even lifting a finger, while distributing BPL cards to millions. On one hand, a handful of wealthy elites enjoy the benefits of loans, tax waivers, and exemptions abroad, while the rest of the population is denied even basic necessities like clean water, despite the country having a network of more than ten major rivers!

It is clear that the Congress and BJP, though two bodies, share one soul. Their central politics, which complements each other, should now be ended by the majority by not voting for either of them. This way, both parties, who are secretly aligned, can openly deliberate on why, after 70 years of independence, the central government's policies have failed to eradicate poverty and hunger. History will judge them harshly, especially when the future generations of 40 crore BPL citizens read about the daily death toll caused by poverty and hunger over these 70 years.

While ruling under their leadership, both Congress and BJP have realized that this country, known as the "Golden Bird," has all the resources to reach Mars at minimal cost. Yet, it has taken 70 years—equivalent to the average lifespan of an Indian citizen—to even begin addressing poverty and hunger. Why hasn't the Congress-BJP-led government been able to provide better leadership to eliminate poverty and hunger? After ruling for 70 years, will their so-called modern India and Digital India ever reach the 40 crore BPL population to celebrate freedom from poverty and hunger in their daily lives? This is the same population that existed in 1947 when the entire country celebrated independence.

Hoisting the flag at the Red Fort does not bring freedom from poverty and hunger. To truly understand this, one must feel it at the grassroots level. In these 70 years of independence, has there ever been a moment of silence in Parliament to mourn the death of a minister due to poverty, hunger, or malnutrition? If so, it would have been clear what a shameful history is being written when citizens of a country once called the "Golden Bird" die of poverty and hunger in the lap of prosperity. For me, true independence means freedom from poverty and hunger, which neither Congress nor BJP can ever deliver, except by perpetuating poverty and hunger.

Therefore, on this 70th Independence Day, I urge the countless citizens who have died due to poverty and hunger in these 70 years to ensure that both these parties, which are like one soul in two bodies, are reduced to such a state of electoral poverty that they are forced to exit central politics, suffering from the very hunger and poverty they perpetuated. Let them taste the bitterness of poverty and hunger, even if it is through electoral defeat. These two parties, which are currently considered the wealthiest, have failed to remove the stigma of 40 crore BPL citizens. Instead, their politics of central governance has only deepened poverty. I am confident that if these parties are removed from power, poverty will be eradicated from the entire country. This confidence cannot be proven wrong until the Congress-BJP government is completely uprooted from the center for at least 70 years. If they ever return, it should only be when poverty and hunger still exist, and millions of BPL cards are being distributed. Otherwise, they should never return to central politics.

The few good leaders in Congress and BJP, who do not wield significant influence, should either form their own parties or join third or fourth fronts. These two parties no longer deserve to be called the principal opposition parties. Let a third party form the government with a strong majority in the center, and let another third or fourth party alternate in forming the government and playing the role of the principal opposition. Before such a leadership comes to power, both Congress and BJP must accept the bitter truth that they lack the capability to eradicate poverty and hunger from this country. This is why, even after 70 years of independence, we continue to hear, read, and see a BPL India.

If BJP claims that its 60 months in power are equivalent to Congress's 60 years, then by 2019, it will have completed 120 months in power. Even if Congress considers its 60 years and BJP's 120 months as years of better service to the people and the nation, the fact remains that poverty and hunger have not been eradicated in 120 years of BJP rule. This is a bitter truth that BJP will have to ponder over for its entire existence.

If only the poor BPL population could unite to vote against these two parties, their millions of votes alone could uproot both Congress and BJP from central politics in one stroke. These are the same poor BPL citizens whom both parties have repeatedly elected by promising to eradicate poverty and hunger, but have failed to do so. Since independence, except for a brief period when another party was in power (which has now merged with BJP), the country has only seen Congress and BJP governments. Thus, the same Congress-BJP coalition continues to rule in disguise.

On this 70th Independence Day, as I write my first blog, I appeal to the new generation, especially those whose parents and grandparents have lived a BPL life, to ensure that if they truly want to secure their future and achieve the goal of becoming a developed nation, they must treat modern India and Digital India as two sides of the same coin. They must not repeat the history of 40 crore BPL India. Instead, they must resolve to uproot these two leading parties from central power and continue to raise their voices until a third party is elected with a strong majority. This is the beginning of my journey through this blog, which I present on an empty stomach, just like millions of citizens who sleep hungry and struggle every year on Independence Day. For now, the so-called 4G speed is nothing but a fake display of prosperity. There is much more to come, and if you find this interesting, I thank you immensely. I will fulfill your wishes soon, and in return, I ask for your small online support so that I can heal my financial wounds and continue this struggle with your help and the power of knowledge.

Because, under the Congress-BJP government, my disabled brother and I have only received pain, exploitation, and oppression. We have never received government rations, nor has my disabled brother received any disability pension. It doesn't matter how long it takes for our fortunes to change, but I wish that every BPL cardholder receives, at least once, the kind of tax waivers and exemptions that the wealthy receive without discrimination. This seems impossible under the current discriminatory government, but I still hope for it.

Therefore, the real pain is the continuous exploitation and oppression under these two parties' governments, which feels like rubbing salt into our wounds repeatedly. Voting for them is like blessing a demon of poverty and hunger. Whenever I see or hear about these two parties forming a government for another five years, I feel as if salt is being rubbed into my wounds again, from top to bottom, due to their discriminatory governance. This is why my disabled brother and I, along with many other oppressed citizens who consider these two parties their sworn enemies, have to struggle daily to heal our wounds and escape the clutches of this demon. We search for someone to share our pain with, but no such relief has come so far. If only these two parties could be mesmerized by a dance and eliminate themselves from central power in their joy!

For now, this is all. On this 70th Independence Day, I am going on an empty stomach, hoping to find at least some arrangement for food. The beginning of this journey through my blog is being presented on an empty stomach, just like millions of poor sons and daughters of Mother India, who sleep hungry and struggle daily.
